RIOT

They were a disgusting example of adolescent immaturity. The News showed the unfolding destruction created by hundreds of people running around in tracksuits. What I don't understand is how chavs wearing the classic Burberry check for one season nearly destroyed the whole heritage class of the brand but Adidas and Nike are the brands these looters choose to wear and they are still going strong ?

Thugs obviously aren't their target Market and they have a wealth of other customers but it is in the stereotype of our miss guided adolescents to be wearing the brands. They use them as a status symbol and really this is something that would destroy any other brands credibility. To a certain degree they use this as a selling angle with a casual, on the streets vibe to both brands advertising.

As someone who doesn't own a tracksuit i may be bias but I do not understand how they get away with having two completely opposite customer bases -The thugs brand alongside the brand which is the first choice amongst casual and professional sports people alike. Usually the reputation of one stereotype wearing the same brand would discourage the other.

Both brands create products each with two completely different uses depending on the individual.
